A community hub right in the middle of Frome's favourite park

Open 8-5pm Mon through to Sunday April until end of October

We are a non profit community cafe that is part of a large organisation called Cultivating Community. We are passionate about building a strong community and fostering connections through nature based connection and what better way to do that than through great cakes and conversation.

The cafe offers a range of cakes, icecreams, drinks and light food for takeaway to enjoy in the park or in our lovely outdoor gazebo where there is plenty of seating, a loose play pod, a couple of picnic tables to play chess on and dogs are very welcome.

The park is wheelchair accessible, with disabled parking on weymouth road, a fully renovated toilet block and level pathways all around the park

Social Connections

We run a number of community programmes, as well as providing opportunities for works skills training for those that traditionally find the pathway into work challenging.

If you are a community group that would like to book space to run workshops, meetings or events please fill in our booking form or speak to one of the staff at the cafe.

Our vision for the community cafe is to create a warm and welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together, engage in meaningful conversations, and build strong connections with one another.

Our cafe is a place where everyone feels valued and included, regardless of their background, beliefs or social status. We strive to create an inclusive and equitable community space, where everyone is welcome and treated with respect.

The cafe also includes a strong connection to nature. We believe that being surrounded by greenery and natural elements can have a positive impact on both physical and mental well-being.

Nature Connections

We plan to incorporate nature into the cafe design, such as selling plants and herbs, outdoor covered seating and planters. Additionally, we want to involve the community in nature based initiatives and events in collaboration with other local organisations, whether that's green talking cafes, composting workshops, gardening classes, or laps round the park with a cake at the end of it.
